Our Podiatrists

Mr Benedict Khoo is a Singaporean Podiatrist who has been in the private sector for many years. He graduated with honours in Podiatry from the Queensland University of Technology, Australia. He specialises in treating sports injuries as well as other types of common painful disorders arising from walking or running gait biomechanics.

Mr Khoo has a clinical interest in optimising modern therapies that aid patient recovery processes, with an in-depth focus on non-surgical treatment options through the use of radial pressure wave therapy and focused extracorporeal shockwave therapy. He is trained and certified in shockwave application by the International Society of Medical Shockwave Treatment. He utilises medical shockwave therapy in treating injuries and lower limb biomechanical complications that are common to people of all age groups.

Mr Khoo also has a keen interest in using minimally invasive surgical techniques to treat recurrent ingrown toenails. This will leave the best aesthetic outcome for the patients with minimal scarring and a faster recovery time.

Mr Khoo is one of the pioneering clinicians in Straits Podiatry and is widely recognised today as a well-established podiatrist in Singapore.

Ms Maggie Lee is a recipient of MOH Holdings’ Health Science and Nursing Scholarship for Podiatry.  After graduating with a Bachelor of Podiatry with Honours from the Queensland University of Technology, she pursued her passion for podiatry, developing a profound interest in musculoskeletal biomechanics, rehabilitation, and the management of high-risk foot conditions, particularly focusing on pediatric patients.

Ms Lee is a dynamic podiatrist renowned for her multifaceted approach to foot and ankle care across various medical settings. With a diverse skill set and a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration, Ms Lee excels in providing comprehensive treatment to patients at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) and National University Polyclinics (NUP).

In her role at the acute hospital, Ms Lee worked closely with Vascular and Orthopedic surgeons to address complex foot and ankle conditions. Drawing on her expertise in podiatric medicine, she plays a pivotal role in the management of cases involving arterial insufficiency, venous insufficiency, Charcot foot deformity and post-amputation ulcers. Through collaborative consultations, bedside debridement and offloading interventions, Ms Lee ensures that patients receive optimal care tailored to their individual needs, with a focus on restoring function and enhancing quality of life.

In addition to her work in the hospital setting, Ms Lee was seconded to polyclinics, where she focuses on skin and nail management and musculoskeletal conditions. Here, she serves a diverse patient population, ranging from dermatological and pathological toenails to pediatric patients requiring care for developmental foot deformities and sports-related injuries. With a compassionate and patient-centred approach, Ms Lee delivers personalized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual, promoting healing and preventing future complications.
