About Daniel
Daniel Wong is a Principal Podiatrist at Straits Podiatry, based at the Paya Lebar clinic. He is a recipient of the Singapore General Hospital Overseas Merit Scholarship for Podiatry (2012), and has practised across both public and private healthcare settings.
Daniel was an avid sportsman in rugby and soccer in his earlier years, and sustained competition-ending ankle injuries that redirected his focus toward healthcare. During his podiatry training he collaborated with researchers in the field of knee osteoarthritis, earning a High Distinction for his thesis and a publication in a peer-reviewed journal. He graduated with First Class Honours in Podiatry from the University of South Australia, where he received the Chancellor's Letter of Commendation and annual merit awards across his programme. He went on to complete a Master of Public Health at the National University of Singapore, Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health.
His stated clinical interests are musculoskeletal foot and lower limb pain, post-surgical foot and ankle rehabilitation, ankle sprains and instability, flat feet and high arches, ingrown toenail management with minimally invasive procedures, and bunions. He also works on skin and nail management and diabetic foot care, across age groups.
In his prior hospital role, Daniel was appointed lead for rehabilitation services and designed care plans involving orthotic prescription, working alongside orthopaedic, vascular, and endocrinology specialists. He helped develop evidence-based protocols, implemented medical shockwave therapy services, and mentored clinicians. He is a Certified Foot Mobilisation and Manipulation Therapy Practitioner at Level II, and was recognised with the SGH CEO Service Award.

Have been seeing Daniel for my plantar fasciitis issue since 2025. He has been very experienced in identifying the root cause and treatment process, as well as being meticulous in his explanations during each visit. Appreciate it and highly recommended podiatrist!

Brought my 6 year old boy to Mr Daniel Wong to remove a wart on his toe. The entire experience (treatment and follow ups) was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and Mr Daniel was very clear with his explanation on the treatment options. He was also particularly good at engaging young children and calming my boy as he was undergoing treatment. I would highly recommend Mr Wong and the clinic, especially for young children.
